Mass Effect 3 Theme - Clint Mansell

I’m not impressed. Just because you bring in an award winning composer doesn’t mean you’re going to get a better soundtrack. Sam Hulick and Jack Wall did a much better job on the theme. Mass Effect had a great soundtrack, a lot of synth but the mix between orchestra and synth was astounding. As for Mass Effect 2, the soundtrack wasn’t as great as the first one.

And THIS? this sounds horrible. Like I said before, bringing in an award winning composer doesn’t mean that the music will sound better. Don’t ruin the main theme.

I actually liked the Mass Effect 2 music a lot more than Mass Effect. I thought it was a lot more cinematic and really added to the gameplay, which was already epic. But I’m not a huge fan of synth in the first place.

Generally speaking, Mass Effect 2 did have a lot of legitimate music. Mass Effect soundtrack was a LOT of synth and not as much music as the second. The cinematic songs, however, I loved. But I’ve never been a fan of synth unless it’s mixed with orchestra. I’ll admit though the first soundtrack is more considered background music rather than a great soundtrack
